Projecting Your iPad Screen Using Reflector

Students can watch what you demonstrate on your iPad and your projection screen using an application called Reflector, (shown here with Control Center buttons.)
Reflector is a paid application that you would purchase and download onto your MacBook.

To use Reflector:
To close Reflector:
- Make sure your laptop and iPad are on the same network.
- Launch Reflector on your laptop.
- On your iPad, press from the bottom up to open the common controls panel. In the middle of the screen, labeled AirPlay. A window will open, listing the computers close by with the Reflector app running.
- Press the line of information by your laptop name.
- Click the Mirroring button so that it turns green.
- The iPod will appear on your computer’s screen, so that you can project what you are doing while walking about your classroom and using your iPad.
- Press the small V at the top of the common controls panel to close it.
To close Reflector:
- Press from the bottom up to open the common controls panel.
- Press the green Mirroring button so that it goes gray (gray means off.)
- Press outside the white area to close it.
- Press the small V to close the common controls panel.
Projecting Your iPad Screen Using QuickTime Player
- Connect the iPhone or iPad to the Mac using your white cable
- On the Mac, open QuickTime Player
- File --> New Movie Recording
- Next to the Record button, choose the iPad’s name from the dropdown menu
- iPad's image will appear on your screen
- Project on screen or hit Record to record as a movie
